You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah . ( Quran 3 : 110).

It's the direct command by Allah in the Quran for mankind in regard of our duty. Yet we are best nation only if we abide by the responsibility given to us to instruct what is good and disallow what is bad. With that the Quran has given us the criteria that some deeds are evil whereas some deeds are good, Allah has not left the concept of evil and good on people to decide by themselves, the guideline and benchmark has been set in the Quran. What God has ordained to you has to be followed and chosen you to do. Otherwise, people may differ on what constitutes each one of us to follow. Moreover, people have to obey unconditionally and choice is not left to our personal choice. Remember.. Goodness lies in obedience to God and evil is disobedience to Him. Allah is only the Ruler and Master. Therefore, We as a nation has to implement this law in our society that can bring equality justice and goodness. It's divine law and creator's order then only humanity will find the true peace of mind, as it's ultimate goal of man.

According to a hadith of Rasulullah SAW, Jibril AS was once commanded to destroy a village (from bani Israel). Jibril AS enquired Allah about a worshipper within the village, who had been worshipping for close to 100 years without committing any sin. Allah instructed Jibril AS to start the torture and destruction with the pious man. Jibril AS was surprised and enquired why. Allah replied to Jibril AS, that the man used to observe the sins against Allah, without his face even turning red (meaning he did not even care). The understanding of this Hadith is that the man’s negligence of even feeling bad for his community’s actions made him deserve the torture (Muslim, Tirmidhi)

The Muslim is the one who submits his will to God's law. Don’t expect that a true Muslim is one who would spend all of his time in the mosque worshipping. Prophet Muhammed pbuh used to spend his time in cave of hira spending time in prayers before revelations. But when prophet pbuh received the revelation he never went to cave of Hira again he struggled in the best manner to bring peace and justice to the society . Prophet pbuh was the living Quran or walking Quran because he was completely obeying the teachings of the Quran. Islamic texts are worthy only if they can be used as a practical approach.

Today, a lot of us call ourselves worshippers. We pray and fulfil the obligation of Islam, actually the prime responsibility of Islam makes us strong believer to face the big challenges of the life but we remain in our own shells, niether engaging nor even feeling or thinking about being a part of spreading goodness, preventing evil, not caring for society or spreading the true message. We just live our own life neglecting our duty towards humanity and society then we will not be saved in spite of being good and peaceful. Instead, we will be the first to gain the anger and torture of Allah.

The Prophet said, “By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you either enjoin good and forbid evil, or Allah will certainly soon send His punishment to you. Then you will make supplication and it will not be accepted”.[At-Tirmithi]

To abandon the practice of enjoining virtue and forbidding vice is likely to incur the displeasure of Allah and the rejection of prayers and supplications.

On the authority of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.” [Muslim

The Quran mentioned that “You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah . If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. ”.[Quran 3:110]
